Hannah Eisendle will make her debut with the Orquesta Nacional de España in Madrid in April 2027, appearing in the dual role that defines her artistic profile: as conductor and composer.
A major debut in Madrid
The Austrian conductor and composer will appear with the Orquesta Nacional de España at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid as part of the orchestra’s 2026/27 season. The engagement marks an important Spanish debut for Eisendle and brings together conducting and new creation within the same project.

Conductor and composer
Eisendle’s relationship with the OCNE goes beyond her debut on the podium. For the project, the orchestra has commissioned a new work from her, placing her work as a composer alongside her increasingly international career as a conductor.

A María Zambrano — world premiere
The new commission, A María Zambrano, will receive its world premiere as part of the Madrid project. The work draws on a poem by Rosa Chacel dedicated to the Spanish philosopher María Zambrano, connecting Eisendle’s musical voice with two major figures of twentieth-century Spanish intellectual and literary life.
The concert is scheduled for 23 April 2027 at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.
