Parera Management is delighted to welcome Kai Gergov, the exceptionally promising young violinist born in Vienna in 2010. At just 16, Kai has already developed remarkable musical experience, combining international competition successes, orchestral performances and a profound curiosity about music-making. We are especially pleased to accompany the next stages of his artistic development, having followed his progress for several years.
A musical journey from an early age
Raised in a family of musicians, Kai began studying both violin and piano at the age of four. His early violin teachers included Marina Sorokowa and Dora Schwarzberg. Since 2019, he has studied with Wladislaw Winokurow at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.
His musical education has been enriched by masterclasses with Maxim Vengerov and Midori, as well as participation in Mihaela Martin’s masterclass at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona in 2026. Kai made his first public violin appearance at five and performed as a soloist with the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra at six. His early achievements subsequently took him to the Musikverein Vienna, the Vienna Konzerthaus and Carnegie Hall in New York.
International recognition
Despite his young age, Kai has received numerous distinctions at prestigious international competitions. His achievements include First Prize at the Josef Micka Violin Competition in Prague, First Prize at the International Grumiaux Violin Competition and the Grand Prix of the Kocian Violin Competition in 2021.
In 2026, he became a national winner of Austria’s prima la musica competition and received First Prize at the Kreutzer International Music Competition in Ghent. That same year, he was selected as one of the Wiener Symphoniker’s WSY-Talente, leading to a solo appearance with the orchestra at the Wiener Konzerthaus in October 2026.
An artist with a wide musical horizon
Kai’s artistic interests extend beyond his solo violin career. Together with his brothers Rey and Leo, he performs as Trio Gergov, an ensemble for which composer Viktor Ilieff wrote G-Force, premiered in 2024 with orchestra.
His musical curiosity also encompasses conducting. Having begun his studies with his father, conductor Rossen Gergov, Kai made his conducting debut with the Sofia Soloists in 2023. He has already appeared with orchestras in Austria, Bulgaria, Poland and the Czech Republic, developing experience in a broad variety of musical settings. Kai performs on a violin made by Antonio Gragnani in 1751.
Looking to the future
At Parera Management, we believe that supporting exceptional young musicians requires not only recognising their talent, but also helping them build meaningful and sustainable artistic careers. Having followed Kai’s development for several years, we look forward to working closely with him, his family and his musical partners as he takes his next steps on international stages.
Our collaboration will focus on carefully selected orchestral debuts, recital and chamber-music projects, and the long-term development of an artist whose musical talent is matched by curiosity, dedication and ambition. Welcome to Parera Management, Kai!
